Our demonstrated for the first time that Fg B??15-42 peptide, a fibrin(ogen)-derived natural product which consists of 28 amino acids, exert a potent antihypertensive function. From a clinical point of view, it provides novel evidence for potential therapeutic applications of this endogenous peptide in hypertensive state.
