Chemical compounds, methods for their preparation and feature set is very limited therefore the possibility of creating new materials based on simple objects are practically exhausted. So jump to the n-component meso-dimensional heterogeneous materials with different macroscopic properties (piezoelectric, magnetic and ferroelastic) is relevant. Eco-friendly materials with Yahn-Teller ions are the most promising ones. However, a number of negative factors hinder their use. These factors are caused by the crystal structure of these objects. The Project is primarily aimed to exclusion of negative phenomena. This will lead to the creation of technologically important functional materials. The nature and mechanisms of formation of electrically active substances (compounds and component solid solutions) with Yahn-Teller ions and their effect on the macroscopic properties of the objects will be installed. Fundamental bases of the formation of structure of these materials and control (through changes in the chemical composition and thermodynamic history) their properties (dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric) will be created. New (patent free) environmentally friendly functional smart materials with high temperature stability and environmentally comfortable conditions for their preparation will be developed. The materials can be applied in aviation, space technology, energy, medicine, information technology and biotechnology.
