Production of 1 ton of sago starch releases 20 tons of waste water, contnaining 5% (1 ton) sago fibre-a sustainable and free source of biomass for generating sugars. Sugar was further purified by powder activated charcoal, oven dried and pulverized to powder form. On top of that anti-oxidative properties such as flavonoid is expected to be present in sago sugar thus enhance its medicinal values.
